The National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (NIAMT), formerly known as (NIFFT), is a premier institution in India, dedicated to education, research, and innovation in the field of Advanced Manufacturing. Established in 1966 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, NIAMT has a rich legacy of providing specialized training and education in areas such as Foundry, Forge Technology, Metallurgy And Materials Engineering. Over time, it has expanded its academic programs to include disciplines like Electronics and Computer Engineering, addressing the evolving needs of modern industry.
The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at NIAMT is dedicated to provide high quality education and research in Electronics, Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The department offers B.Tech in Computer Engineering. The focus of the department is on cutting edge areas such as AI, Machine Learning (ML), Embedded systems, and Automation.
